1 Today!!

Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to drop a quick line to tell you all about the wonderful day I've had! I woke up this morning at 6:45am to find my mum and dad looking back at me from the bunk beds in my room!! They sang me a funny song that I haven't heard before called "Happy Birthday". I then got to open these big boxes wrapped in colourful paper that had been on my bookshelf for ages after the postlady brought them to my house. Mum and Dad didn't even say anything when I ripped all the paper, I still didn't get to eat it though!! Later on I went with my Nan and Grandad to playgroup with a big button on my back that told everyone how old I was today!! I wore my new shirt that came in one of those wrapped up pressie's.
After my 3 hour nap, I went down to the beach where there were balloons, and all sorts of people and they all seemed to be waiting for me!!
I had a great time. I wore a new shirt that bore my big birthday news...make sure you focus in on these photos because I stood really still so you could read it properly!!
Finally, everyone sang me the same song that mum and dad sang me in the morning and then I got to dig into this big brown, sweet thing that mum called a birthday cake!! It was delicious!! I squished it all up in my fingers but did manage to eat all the bits with yummy frosting

on it!! I even fed some to my mum and nan it was so good I had to share!!
Right that's it for now because it has been a really big day and I am really, really tired!
Wish you could all have been here with me....!!

I know that I haven't done the south Island itinerary yet...however, no one seems too interested as their have been no comments...I don't actually know if anyone out there in the world wide web has been bothered to read it....(except of course you MIL whom I can always depend upon!). So instead of going to great lengths on that score I thought I would update on Ollie's comings and goings. He is coming and going now...he finally decided to crawl on Easter Sunday. I suppose he thought if Christ can rise from the dead...I can rise from my belly and venture forth!! He absolutely loves his new found freedom and it is great for Adam and I. He is not really a busy body so, he just wonders around the house and investigates. His most recent find is each and every one of the doorstops that make a lovely twangy noise if you hit them just right.
We have sent out the invites to his big birthday bash which we will be celebrating down on the beach here in Goderich. I will include the winning photo which appeared on the homeade postcards which we used as invitations and then I'll show you some of the runner up photos. The one on the right side of the screen won...even though I loved the the one on the left however, it looks like he's calling the camera holder a loser (could have been his Dad was taking the photo!!).This photo below is Ollie's new wheels. He loves zooming around the house under his dad's steam. He even puts his feet up so as not to slow things down!! The other photo shows that there is still a little Irish/Newfie in Ollie yet. As you can see he has his bright yellow wellie's and he's ready for a day in the rain. These are still a bit big for him so, when I put them on it was hilarious as he was trying to stomp them off but because they go almost up to his knees he just couldn't seem to shake them!! Below here we have photgraphic evidence that it is never too young to start your stretching program. I think Nanny Banny was up and Ollie was showing her a few of the advanced Yoga moves. She is very jealous of his flexibility it seems.
Anyway, I can't believe we haven't got a picture of him crawling!! HOw atrocious. I can assure you that there will be one tomorrow. I wish that I could post little video clips as this would be better but, I can't imagine how long that may take to upload.
Now remember, if you take the time to read this...let me know with a comment...Its nice to know I am doing this for a reason.
Take care all and will post again soon.
